5 Unexpected Ways to Stay Classy with your Wardrobe
5 Unexpected Ways to Stay Classy with your Wardrobe
Whether you work in an office, are heading to a party, or just going through everyday, making sure your wardrobe is classy is very important. It tells a lot about your character.
You can say, “I don’t care what other people think” and that’s just fine, but ultimately it really does matter. Whether you’re aiming for that job promotion or wanting to make a big impact, networking wise. Keeping your wardrobe classy makes a world of difference. So here are the 5 ways you can step up your game:
1) Know that your worth isn’t defined by how much skin you show off. Some think that this will work…and they’re right. *GASP* But what is your ultimate goal? What is the quality of eyes you’re attracting? Staying classy with your wardrobe makes you look professional…and stunning. Classy doesn’t equal turtlenecks and sweatpants.
2) Attitudes are just as gorgeous as “your legs”. Have you ever talked to a gorgeous girl and thought, “wow, she’s terrible”. Even though you may have the outside beauty, if your attitude is pitiful, it really does make you ugly. You could be wearing Louis Vuitton’s and the same would be true. So make sure your wardrobe matches your inside.
3) If you show off a little leg, be sure and wear a higher top. It’s like a balancing act. See the picture below in purple for an example.
4) Make sure your garments aren’t see-through. I’ve made this mistake a couple of times…unfortunately. Slips are your friend and sometimes, merely wearing beige under garments, doesn’t get the job done. It’s really embarrassing, It may not look bad under your dims lights in the bathroom, but the minute you get under the harsh white lights or outside on a sunny day…oops. Double-check. See my terrible example below, in black.
5) Remember who you are “modeling the way” for. Who is looking up to you? Who is using you as their role model? Set them up for success please.
I’ll give you a bonus one too. Purposely showing cleavage at the office is NOT a good way to get a promotion. Again, what is your end result?
There you have it. 5…er, 6, unexpected ways to keep yourself classy.
Stay beautiful,
