Goals

Ah, goals. My friends tease me all the time, "how many white boards do you have in your house, Keri?" Whatever... 4! It's beside the point though. I LOVE goals and writing them down. I'm a very futuristic, driven person, so to have a goal to work towards makes me insanely happy. However, there is a pitfall to this. You have to remember to enjoy the ride. It can't be all about the destination. What is the joy of living life if we don't remember anything about living it and only about where we arrived at?

When used in moderation (my husband hates that word and I totally relish in it) though, goals can be HIGHLY effective tools for success. Whether you're listing out personal or professional goals, it is always a good idea to write them DOWN. Make it known, tell a trusted friend (accountability), and keep them where you can readily access them. Track your progress monthly. Reward yourself when you've hit a target or have completed a goal.

Don't have a white board? It's cool. Just get a dry erase marker & write a couple of your goals on your bathroom mirror (NOT a permanent marker, you'll totally mess up your mirror, trust me).
